This privacy notice tells you what to expect when UAE Triathlon processes your personal information How we use your information The UAE Triathlon and is the National Governing Body for Triathlon, UAE Triathlon will be a 'controller' of the personal information that you provide to us through this website, unless otherwise stated.

We collect:

Personal data that you or your parent or legal guardian provide to us as part of the online Event entries process. This is all the data you submit via the online registration portal, This will include the following (subject to the requirements of the entries system and your preferences): Personal details – name, address, gender, email address, and date of birth. Emergency contact details – name, contact number. Details of any disability. Relevant medical conditions. Payment details. Keeping in touch contact preference .Active lifestyle information. Ethnicity details the main reasons we use your personal data: to run and administer the Events, to ensure you receive merchandise and services you have ordered in connection with the Events, to provide you with marketing information in accordance with your marketing preferences (see How we use your personal data for marketing), to manage and administer our business generally in relation to the Events, and to review and improve the Events. You are not under a legal obligation to provide us with any of your personal data but please note that if you elect not to provide us with the personal data we ask for on the entries portal may be unable to enter you in the Events or (if we can still enter you), supply additional services or merchandise that you enquire about or order. We will add your details to our marketing database if you opt-in to receiving marketing communications from us during the Event sign up process. We will respect the various choices you opt for in terms of the type of information you wish to receive (if any). We may send you marketing communications by email, telephone (including automated calls), text message, post or via social media advertising networks. You can check and update your current marketing preferences at any time by calling or emailing us using the details set out in the Who we are and how you can contact us section above. We will include clear instructions on how you can opt-out of receiving further marketing communications or update your preferences in every marketing communication we send you.

Waiver

This “waiver” was concluded between:

“UAE Triathlon Association” referred to hereinafter as “First Party” and the “Member” who is registering in UAE Triathlon Association website as Triathlon Athlete and is referred to hereinafter as the “Second Party or Member”

The “Member” is deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions set out below.

1-The Member certifies that he/she is medically fit to practice triathlon sport

2-The “Member” hereby acknowledges that the “he/she” is voluntarily participating in the training sessions, races, championships, events organized or co-organized by the “First Party”, or organized by event organizing companies, sports clubs, centers or sport councils in UAE.

3-The “Member” will be personally responsible forhis/herown safety during any eventmentioned above, and accepts full risk and complete responsibility for any and all damages and personal injury of any kind, including death resulting directly or indirectly therefrom

4-The “Member” is aware that swimming, riding a bicycle, and running is hazardous, and involve a risk of serious bodily injury, death, or property damage, and the “Member” is voluntarily participating in the event with full knowledge of the risks. The “Member” expressly assumes the risk of these dangers.

5-The “Member” hereby releases, waives, discharges, and relinquishes any action or causes of action for personal injury, property loss / damage, or wrongful death which may occur during training sessions, races, championships, events organized or co-organized by the “First Party”, or organized by event organizing companies, sports clubs, centers or sport councils in UAE, or any pursuit incidental thereto.

6-The “Member” further agrees that under no circumstances will the “Member” prosecute or present any claim against any member or person associated with the“First Party”for any causes of action, personal injury, property damage / loss, or death, whether the same arises by the negligence or non-intentional conduct of any person associated with the “First Party” during any event or any pursuit incidental thereto.

7-The “Member” hereby agrees to indemnify, saves and holds harmless any / each of the “First Party”persons,any member or person associated with “First Party” from any loss, liability, damage or cost, death, and/or property damage / loss which the “First Party”persons may incur as a result of injury, death, or property damage to the “Member” occurring during or incidental to any event.

8-This Waiver and Indemnity shall be governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. If any sectionof this Waiver and Indemnity is invalid and/or is declared to be invalid by a court of law, the restof the Waiver and Indemnity shall continue in full force and effect.

Fazaa Card

 Terms and conditions for obtaining a Fazaa card:

1-The card is awarded to the player After providing participation results, in at least one (triathlon, Duathlon or aquathlon) race in 2019 and 2020.

2-The card reaches members two weeks after the date of registration and payment of membership fees.
